Khadi means handspun and handwoven cloth. In 1918 Mahatma Gandhi started the Swadeshi Movement for Khadi as a relief programme for the poor living in India’s rural villages.
Cloth & Co’s beautiful handspun, handloomed Khadi cotton throws have been produced based on these Gandhian ideologies by their traditional weavers in rural Indian villages.
Not only is this a beautiful handloomed piece of great quality. Your purchase is also supporting sustainable development, ethical labour practices.
This throw is designed for use all year round, with the natural breathable cotton being perfect for summer evenings and enough weight to keep you warm in the cooler months.
The cotton throws measure approximately 150 x 250cm and they are available in four colours.
