A Danish midcentury stoneware vase of a tapered form and with a funnel-shaped mouth by Einar Johansen for Søholm Pottery.
Most of the body of the vase is glazed in a dark, matt brown glaze. The outside of the top section of the vase is contrastingly unglazed with a carved pattern. The inside of the vase in glazed in a semi-matt blue glaze.
The vase is 25cm tall and its round base has a diameter of 11cm.
The base is fully marked with the impressed mould number – 3208 – and Johansen’s EJ monogram.
