The glass tumblers by Aino Aalto – echoing the idea of rings of water – were designed over 80 years ago. In 1932 the design won the iittala-Karhula design competition in Finland and four years later won a gold medal at the Milan Triennale. It is Iiitala’s oldest design and it is ongoing proof that good design is indeed timeless.
Aino Aalto’s functional glasses for everyday use are still made in Finland today. It is a simple, space saving design which exudes timeless style.
